Our technicians received a worried phone call and told the customer his dilemma wasn’t as bad as it sounded. They pulled out all the stops and booked him in straight away.

The faulty swivel joint was quickly replaced while he relaxed in our waiting room. He drove away a happy man ready for some high speed fun around the mighty Nordschleife.

This BMW 325i arrived in the workshop with an engine oil leak with an irate customer. He wasn’t very happy about this issue because it was ruining his nice clean driveway. After a steam clean the leak was traced to the oil filter cooler.

A new gasket was fitted then our team gave it another steam clean. The engine bay was as clean as a whistle ready to be parked on the customers drive way without any more black puddles underneath it.

A customer visited our garage for a service and we noticed his Vauxhall was only 5 thousand miles off its recommended manufacturer cam belt replacement date. After informing the customer our technicians decided to change the belt early just to be on the safe side.

As you can see the Insignia’s cam belt had started to break down to a point of catastrophic failure. A happy customer left Aarons Autos with a full service, new cam belt kit and water pump fitted for good measure ready for another 100000 carefree miles.

This poor Ford Transit limped into our garage leaking oil all over it’s engine.
After a good steam clean, our technicians ran it for a while until we diagnosed small leaks coming from the turbo return pipe and the front timing chain cover.

We promptly replaced the seal on the return pipe and fitted a new timing chain cover. The van left Aarons Auto’s with a squeaky clean engine ready for action.

Aaron Harding and David Slate finish another MSVR event on the top step of the podium. The Cadwell Park round of the MSVR Trackday Trophy series was action packed from start to finish.

Another MSVR Trackday Trophy for the dynamic duo.

Qualifying a respectable 9th, the team moved up the standings during the race to finish an amazing 4th overall and 1st in Class C. A great result against 27 other rivals.

Dave Slate and Aaron Harding are becoming the team to beat.

Paul Ivens driving the Aarons Autos prepared sister Clio was in second place on the first lap but spun out on cold tyres. The posh peddler clawed his way back through the pack to achieve a great 7th overall and 3rd in Class B.

A Saab 9-3 driver turned up out the blue on the back of a AA truck with a non charging electrical fault. Not to disappoint the customer we booked it in as soon as possible and diagnosed the alternator had failed.

We sourced one the same day from our parts suppliers and the Swedish Saab was back on the road by tea time ready for a happy customer to collect.

This Citroen C3 had a smelly problem. The customer complained that after 10 minutes of driving they started to get fumes in the cab which made them feel sick. They handed it over to Aarons Auto’s to diagnose the problem.

It turned out that it was a common problem with these diesel engines. The engine gasses escape out from in-between the cylinder head and the fuel injector giving off the horrible smell the customer had complained about. After a major engine strip down, clean up with new seals fitted the little Citroen C3 was off to fight another day smelling of roses.

Aarons Autos Performance Motorsport had all three of their race teams at Oulton Park Race Track last weekend for the MSVR Team Trophy race and boy they did not disappoint.

Exploding Fist Racing had a great start in Class B with a blistering 2.00.950 minute qualifying time putting them in second place on the grid (in Class B) only 0.5 seconds behind the leader in their Class.

Team Trackspeed UK also managed to qualify in second place for Class C beating their team mates Norfolk n Chance by 0.02 seconds who ran into problems of there own after the gear linkage decided to bend during Aarons second lap of qualifying meaning he was unable to put in any faster times, all he could do was carry out his mandatory three laps and get the car back to the paddock to assess the damage.

After straightening the damaged linkage it was obvious that it would not be strong enough for the race so it was decided that a three hour round trip back to Aarons Autos was required to weld and strengthen the linkage, leaving only half an hour spare to refit the linkage and get to the holding area for the start of the race! Talk about a race against time!!

Chris Hoey started the race for Exploding Fist and managed to get a significant lead on his Class cars before handing over to Darren Langerveld who carried on pulling away from the other Class B cars giving him a thirty second lead before the car started to misfire! with the help of the huge lead and Darren’s sympathetic driving they managed to cross the line in first place for class B.

Then it came to Team Trackspeed and Norfolk n Chance in Class C, Paul Ivens Got a great start putting him straight into first place in class leaving Aaron Harding from Norfolk n Chance way behind stuck behind a couple of Class B cars, seeing this as a challenge Aaron made his way through the pack chasing down Paul for first in class, after several fast laps (including beating the Class C lap record) Aaron found himself nose to tail with Paul, a couple more battling laps and it was time to pit and hand the cars over to Adan Langerveld for Team Trackspeed and David Slater for Norfolk n Chance.

Due to a great pit stop from Norfolk n Chance they managed to get out before Team Trackspeed putting them first in Class, Adam didn’t like this and subsequently chased after Dave like a man possessed, unfortunately for Team Trackspeed this meant a very brave overtake manoeuvre into shell causing Adam to cut across the grass and damage the rear wheel bearing as he dropped back onto the track so all Dave had to do was finish to win Class. Adam managed to limp the Clio round the track for several laps to take second in class.
